Founded in 2001 as an educational charity, Nottingham Arts Theatre is the city’s premiere Community Theatre which hosts a varied programme of productions from local schools, colleges, universities, drama societies, musical theatre groups, dance schools and professional touring companies and individual artistes.

Situated in NG1, the bustling heart of the city centre, in the midst of the Creative Quarter and upbeat Hockley, with its vibrant mix of independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants, Nottingham Arts Theatre is the perfect venue for seeing a show and enjoying the city’s night life.

A 270 seat proscenium arch theatre, with an apron stage, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, rehearsal spaces, a fully licensed cafe-bar and state of the art technical facilities, Nottingham Arts Theatre can guarantee production companies and their audiences the expertise of a team of theatre professionals.

The building also houses The Peter Bowles Studio Theatre, a flexible performance area for up to 50 people, which is served by the Green Room Bar.

Nottingham Arts Theatre and our team of friendly FOH staff look forward to welcoming you and your family and friends to one of our shows in the near future.
