Godello (pronounced goh-DEH-yoh) may sound like a character in a Mozart opera but it’s a high quality white grape grown primarily in Galicia in northwest Spain, and in Portugal.  

It’s often compared to Galicia’s better known and more fashionable Albariño: there are similarities, but Godello is richer and more mineral and produces a high very aromatic wines.

Godello is a premium white grape native to northwestern Spain, renowned for producing crisp, mineral-driven wines that combine the rich, silky texture of a White Burgundy with the aromatic finesse of top-tier Albariño. 

It is widely celebrated by wine lovers as a fantastic alternative to Chardonnay
