Garnacha and Grenache refer to the same grape variety, with Garnacha being the Spanish name and Grenache the French name. 

The grape originated in Spain and is now widely planted, especially in warm, dry climates, and is a key component in wines from regions like Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Spanish Rioja and Priorat.
