The LMT is an independent theatre in Nottingham city centre, staging a varied programme of high-quality amateur productions throughout the year. It is housed in a beautiful Georgian building, dating back to 1760, in the Lace Market district. Performances take place in the recently refurbished and air conditioned auditorium and in the upstairs studio, which also houses a licensed bar.

The theatre is staffed entirely by unpaid members and has a strong sense of community with nearly a hundred years of history behind it. It is a registered charity, with proceeds from ticket sales going into the cost of productions and upkeep.

The theatre can accommodate assistance dogs and has a loop hearing system in both the performance spaces. Unfortunately, they are unable to provide wheelchair access and please note the toilets are upstairs on the first floor with the studio and bar.
